Very much looking forward to the release of The Bee Project, Publications for Pleasure’s survey of beekeepers and all sorts of creatives working with bees and various bee cultures; from Berlin to Barcelona to Melbourne. My contribution is a discussion of how the Swarm Trap project is, in some ways, a reflection of the relationship between human and animal architects; of beekeeping as a meaningful and contemplative practice. The little essay is accompanied by beautiful images from Charlie White and Lee Grant Photos. Swarm Trap is a colab with MANY MANY and a group of pretty wonderful artists. The Bee Project is available for pre-order now from the PFP website.
